"AS MALIBRANS" (1999 / 2000) - duration 83’

Written with a grant by RIOARTE Foundation, Rio de Janeiro

The piece had a premiere on May 27th 2000 at the Staat Theater Darmstadt followed by a brazilian premiere December 6th , at the Teatro Carlos Gomes,Rio de Janeiro.

The opera was them produced in October 2000 by the Staat Theater Darmstadt’s cast directed by the German Director Birgitta Tromller remaining in the company’s repertoire.

Opera in one act, third part of a trilogy with focus on women values based on the dark side of the Diva - her life and role as an opera personage.. .

Conceived for 3 singers, one actress, oboe, clarinet and cello and piano with electroacoustic means and computer generated sounds.

The complete work was documented on video by TVE (TV Brasil) and it was shown in prime hour national wide.

"CANTO E RAGA" (1995) - duration 60'

Commissioned by Casa França Brasil, Rio de Janeiro.

Performed 8 times at Casa França Brasil and Teatro Sergio Porto, Rio de Janeiro., 1995.

Opera Collage for two sopranos, one dancer, cello and electroacoustic means.

Performers: Netti Spilman , Gabriela Geluda – sopranos, Peter Schuback – cello, Marcelo Ferreira – dancer, Jocy de Oliveira - synthesizers

The complete work was documented on video by cable TV GNT/Globosat to be shown in prime hour , repeated twice all over the country and internationally.

 

"ILLUD TEMPUS" (1994) - duration 53'"

Commissioned by RIOARTE and Ministerio da Cultura, Brasil.

Second part of a trilogy with focus on women values. Based on fairy tales and women dreams.

Conceived for one soprano, one actress, clarinet, percussion and electroacoustic means.

Performed 15 times in Rio de Janeiro at the Teatro Sergio Porto and Parque Laje. Among other performances,

Teatro Paulo Eiro in S. Paulo and Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin.

The work received an award by Ministerio da Cultura and was chosen by JORNAL O GLOBO in Rio de Janeiro, among the 10 best music events of the year 94.

The complete work was documented on video by TV Cultura, S. Paulo, Brazil and it was televised in prime hour all over the country.

The work is recorded on a CD by RioArte Digital / Academia Brasileira de Musica, Brazil and OO Discs, USA .

 

"INORI TO THE SACRED PROSTITUTE" (1993) - duration: 74'

Commissioned by Vitae Foundation and Fundaçaõ Banco do Brasil.

First part of a trilogy based on the mythical figure of the sacred prostitute. Conceived for 1 soprano coloratura, 1 soprano, 1 bass, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 1 trombone, percussion, soprano and bass choir, live electronics and computer generated sounds, actors and dancers.

First performance at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, Rio de Janeiro ,1993 (16 performances)

Performers: Sara Goulart, Marcia Taborda – sopranos, Marilena Bibas , Susana Ribeiro – actresses, Michel Robin – dancer, Araken Ribeiro – actor, Helder Teixeira – flute, Joseph Celli , Leonardo Fuks – oboe, Sergio de Jesus – trombone, Joaquim Abreu – percussion , Jocy de Oliveira – synthesizers and electroacoustic means.

A video was conceived and directed by the author, produced by TV Educativa, Rio de Janeiro, televised on prime hour all over the country.

The work is recorded on a CD and distributed by ReR, England.

The libretto was published in Brasil by Spectra.
